The summer of 2011 has been a very busy one for both Sphere Management Group and Reign Marketing Group. Regardless, the summer break means one things: internships. Sphere Management Group provides local students who are on summer break with work experience that they cannot get on any college campus or in any large lecture hall.
Owner Joe Eckhart is more than aware of the important fundamentals learned while participating in an internship. “Everyone did an internship while in school. Most internships involve running errands, getting coffee or picking up the mail.” Eckhart continued, “we give our internship participants real-world marketing experience. They leave here with business savvy and the skills to work for any large company promoting that brand and creating tangible results.”
Sphere Management Group Intern Paulina Roman
One of Sphere Management Group’s top internship participants is Paulina Roman. Roman is starting her Sophomore year at Southern Methodist University in the fall. Her work ethic and ability to excel in in-store marketing have made her a great success during her short tenure at Sphere Management Group. Nonetheless, she knows more is required to maintain her progress. “I have gotten incredible experience that will give me great advantages when I apply for jobs in the future, but I know coming back next summer will help me further develop great leadership skills.” Roman went on to say, “I have had a wonderful time working at Sphere Marketing Group this summer. I don’t feel like a traditional ‘intern’, I feel like a peer.”
Roman and the other participants in the Sphere Management Group paid internship program will continue to work this summer until the program ends on August 10th.
