Ben Defibaugh has been in the Marketing and Management fields for close to four years and his experience has allowed him to build businesses in both Pittsburgh and Louisville. Defibaugh is now in San Antonio working with Sphere Management Group, hoping to find more success.
Defibaugh is from a small town in Pennsylvania and started his career working in blue collar careers. Despite his ability to thrive in that environment, he had the passion and desire to do something more. “I felt that I had the potential for so much more in my life,” said Defibaugh. “I couldn’t quite put my finger on it but I knew is was not my calling.”
Defibaugh’s next career move was to the Mental Health field. After working in that field for five years, Defibaugh felt there was no more growth potential for him and he was ready for another fresh start. He started working in marketing and management in September of 2008 and within eight months Defibaugh found great success working with the nation’s leading satellite provider, DIRECTV®. Despite his lack of experience in the field, Defibaugh had the intangibles he needed to flourish.
Soon after helping to expand the business into Louisville, KY, Defibaugh was promoted to upper management and was given the chance to manage the entire Pittsburgh office. Not long after, he expanded the office and trained his account managers to take over the office.
Defibaugh is currently managing a team with Sphere Management Group and is poised to open an office in the Dallas/Fort Worth area later this year. “I plan want to continue to find and train the right qualitypeople and continue expanding into more offices.” Defibaugh continued by saying “my family is my motivation. I want to help my parents retire with no financial worries and I want the family I am raising to have the best of everything.”
